The site was down…

And it took me a minute to realize why!

PHP-FPM module updated to 8.3, and I forgot to change the directory in the NGINX config. My bad…

However, in related news, I’m going to write up a blog post that should publish sometime soon about how to install Zammad Ticketing System and get it work properly with an external NGINX reverse proxy that itself supplies the Let’s Encrypt certs and secure connection needed to make it work externally. I still have some left over bits to work on, so the post may not happen right away. I want to make sure I’ve fulling noted down all of the relevant documents and sources while also remembering what I did exactly to make it play nicely…

As a bonus, I’ll also include how to change the hostname on the Zammad install if you do like I did which was build the initial system and later cloned it to run a test version of it that is purely meant for checking updates/fooling about without hurting the production version. I just realized I will likely want to change the CNAME and subsequently the internal app FQDN so it continues to work but looks a bit better as a link.

That’s all for now, thanks for reading.
